Abstract

This study examines some levels of artistic performance (Rhythm and Structure in the poetry of Ṭahmān Ibn ʿAmr Al-Kilabi), with a view to reveal the stylistic phenomena, expressive and aesthetic values that lie in the structure of the said poetic texts and play an essential role in shaping the poet’s style. It also sheds light on the role these stylistic phenomena play in building the poetic text and the technical dimensions through which the poet reveals his experience and vision for life and people alike. , It also shows the poet’s creative ability to formulate vocabulary and expressions full of stylistic and expressive power that feeds the reader with a vast sense of imagination and overwhelming emotional joy. The study relies on this stylistic method and its artistic tools in exploring and analyzing the text. The research concluded that the poet has used some phenomena and artistic structures as effective reporting means that have given poetic discourse a kind of movement and dynamism in its building and its meaning together, and increased its aesthetic beauty and elegance. This is done for the sake of self-recreation, on the one hand, and for reveal to the recipient his hidden agenda, on the other.
