Abstract

This research explores the prophetic discourse in the Holy Quran, focusing on how prophets defined Allah’s essence, attributes, and actions to establish monotheism as the foundation of faith and social order. Using an inductive-analytical approach, it examines Quranic verses to highlight the unified call of prophets toward exclusive worship of Allah and rejection of polytheism. The study is structured into an introduction, a preface, and two main sections: the preface discusses the prophets’ introduction of Allah and its role in affirming monotheism; the first section analyzes the characteristics of prophetic discourse—clarity, wisdom, mercy, patience, and diverse methods such as persuasion, warning, rational dialogue, and parables; the second section investigates rational and emotional proofs for monotheism, illustrated through Noah’s (peace be upon him) confrontation with polytheism. The conclusion emphasizes that Quranic discourse integrates rational persuasion with spiritual influence, offering a comprehensive divine methodology that remains relevant for preachers and educators in addressing intellectual and doctrinal challenges across time and place.
