Abstract

This research studies the dissolution of marriage in Islam. It is a subject that belongs to the jurisprudence of the family. It is mainly based on eliminating harm to one of the spouses if the marriage continues. This damage may happen because of either physical defects or contagious diseases, or it may be for preventing the wife from alimony or marital cohabitation, and it may be for other reasons.
