The research deals with the relationship between the Mutawakkil Kingdom and Britain after the First World War. It also highlights the problem of borders between the Ottoman and British regions, and the subsequent demarcation of the borders between the South and the North Yemenis. The research also shows how the problems on the borders were settled before the outbreak of the First World War and then the Yemeni region became subject to the influence of two forces, namely Britain in southern Yemen, and the Ottoman Empire in northern Yemen. Imam’s position on the border demarcation, the British policy towards Imam Yahya and the Jacob mission, the relations between Imam Yahya and Britain, and the impact of this mission’s failure on the imam, the relations between Imam Yahya and Britain are also discussed in details.Downloads
