Abstract

This research deals with an inscription of a tombstone in a group of inscriptions contained in the mausoleum dome of Emir Shams al-Din bin Imam Sharaf al-Din located in Kawkaban - Al-Mahwit Governorate - the Republic of Yemen. The tenth of the month of Rabi` al-Awwal, the year fifty-six and a thousand for the Hijra, and we did not find a translation or any historical information in the stomachs of the available sources and references, but the large size of the witness and the written texts inscribed on it predict the reality of this lady and the height of her position in her society at that time. The study included, in addition to the descriptive aspect, analytical comments of the written witness texts.
