Referral in the Language of the Quran: A Textual Approach

Abstract

This research highlights the study the phenomenon of referral, which deals with the relationship between discourse and what the referring elements refer to, whether in reality, in the imaginary, or in a previous / subsequent discourse. It will examine the role of textual reference in the harmony and consistency of the text of the Quran in the light of the analysis of examples of the language of the text of the Quran, and shed light on this phenomenon. This paper is divided into two parts: the first clarifies the concept of referral in the language and in a conventional way; its divisions and sub-models. The second part is concerned with analyzing its elements and showing its contributions to achieving the harmony and consistency of the text of the Quran, and the availability of a textual element in that here, in models of the language of the Text of the Quran. The research conclusion manifest that pronouns in all their types are the most common reference tools for achieving textual consistency between metaphors.
