Abstract

This research attempts to clarify the most important causes of rainwater harvesting in Taiz Governorate, which are compatible with the nature of the governorate's climate, topography and soil. The citizen participation is crucial in implementing any water harvesting project alongside the state. This participation maintains these projects constantly and it continues to achieve the projects goals. The study also shows that there are some techniques for rainwater harvesting such as small pits, surface runoff panels, and water harvesting from atmospheric moisture.
