Abstract

This study was intended to set, present, and investigate of the manuscript: “Al-Jawhara Al-Wafiya, and Al-Durra Al-Sunniyyah in Speech, in clarifying what Al-Khafaji transmitted from Ibn Al-Hammam’s phrase, by Muhammad bin Yusuf Jaddai (died: 1345 AH)”, in which the author replied to an important problem in which he was asked to answer. It was an issue that was discussed in the city of Zabid, and there was a misunderstanding one, which is the sentence: (Praise be to God) at the beginning of Surat Al-An’am. This manuscript was edited in order to be published, and it included: an introduction, two sections: one section for introducing the manuscript and its author, and the second section: for the verified text, then a conclusion that contained the most important findings of the study. The study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which are: that this edited manuscript is definitely for its author, and that Imam Ibn Jaddi is an encyclopedic scholar who wrote extensively, in addition to his mastery in language sciences. The study recommends that all those interested in heritage should take care of Jaddi's books and read them at libraries, and these books should be transferred to from the space of manuscripts to the printed matter so that they can be in the hands of readers.
