The Effectiveness of Parallelism in the Poetry of Mohammed Abdu Ghanem

This study tries to investigate the effectiveness of parallelism in poetry of Mohammed Abdu Ghanim as a stylistic characteristic who enriches the poetic text making it very effective in the semantically poetic world. All this comes to know how it works and how it was formed in two levels; syntactic and semantic. The nature of the research necessitates the researcher expose the following problem: - How does this parallelism effectiveness reveals itself in the two levels; syntactic and semantic? The researcher hypotheses that parallelism has an active role in enriching the text semantic, and opening the horizon of interpretation to the reader. The study utilizes the stylistic methodology benefiting from the psychological methodology so as to reach an effective critical approach which proceeds from the accountability of the structure of parallelism in the light of the context in which it was received. This is because to decipher the textual, and was able to conceal the hidden and deep symbols in the poetry of Ghanem. For proceeding through this research, it was divided into two sections preceded by a preface and an introduction on the parallelism in Ghanem's poetry. They are vertical (vertical), doubled parallel, and horizontal parallelism. The second section is highlighted on the semantic parallelism in which he studied parallelism in contrast, and parallelism in tandem. Eventually, this study has resulted in many findings out of which are as follows: The parallelism of Ghanem's poetry springs from the text structure in harmony with his own poetic experience which leads to the cohesion and coherence of text elements. In addition, this parallelism gives the reader a pathway to discover the poet inner world and his hidden tendencies.Downloads
