This study seeks to illuminate Imam Al-Baqaei’s role in the field of indicative guidance within Qur’anic readings, aiming to encourage further scholarly attention to this nuanced art by compiling and analyzing examples that reflect its significance. Employing both inductive and analytical methodologies, the research gathers textual instances and interprets Al-Baqaei’s contributions to this domain. Structured into an introduction and three sections, it first outlines Al-Baqaei’s personal and scholarly background, then defines indicative guidance—its rulings, conditions, and related literature—and finally presents Al-Baqaei’s classification of its types, distinguishing between those closely aligned with interpretive meaning and those more distant yet non-conflicting. The study concludes that indicative guidance remains an underexplored spiritual discipline, offering renewed insights into Qur’anic readings through faith-based reflections and rhetorical intricacies that underscore their profound depth.
