Abstract

This research aims to investigate the relationship between Muslims and Byzantines in the era of the Messenger, Mohanmmed. The Meccan period in the life of the Messenger was devoid of everything that would provoke hostility against the Romans or confrontation with the Islamic community. As for the period that followed the Prophet’s migration to Medina, the Byzantines began to view Islamic power as a future threat to them, so they adopted an aggressive approach towards The Islamic State, the Byzantines worked hard to tighten the screws on the city-state and Islam and cut off the means of life from it in order to weaken its status through its allies in the Levant, so it entered into confrontations with the Muslims, even if they were not direct at the beginning.
