: Returning to the heritage is an urgent necessity imposed by the nature of contemporary life in which the human lives in general, and the literary man and critics in particular. It is a tool for Arabic-self-confirmation, discovering its core and genuineness depth to confront the suspicious calls and campaigns being exposed to. Returning to the heritage in itself includes contemporary critical troubles that pushed the research to think and study thereof to make an opportunity in upgrading a specific aspect of various ones, which is the "Pleiades (a group of stars which are arranged like a chandelier) portrait in Arabic Poetry between creativity of poets and dealing of critics and rhetoricians at the Abbasid Age" in terms of portraying and when dealing of the critics and rhetoricians at the Abbasid Age in their dealing with, quoting and selecting these artistic portraits. I selected the poetry of such period because it includes the materials, formed the sayings and portraits of the poets and considered it as the basis for most opinions of critics and rhetoricians, and their critical and literary rhetoric attitudes until the latest periods of Abbasid Age. Pre-Islamic Age Poets illustrated the Pleiades stars as jewels and trinkets because they were impressed by the natural, social, rural mythic culture in addition to the relation between the Pleiades stars group with jewels and trinkets, and charms, beauty, sublimity, prestige as well. Due to the increase of their treasures, the poets excelled for creating literary portrayal of Pleiades stars group, which won the full admiration of many critics and rhetoricians, through describing the Pleiades stars group as jewels and trinkets. Their attention in Pleiades shows that they know, explain and analyze and mention them in their scenes and selections in the literary illustrations themselves and in another meaning, or in the critics and also the artistic exaggeration matters. Furthermore, their dealing with this imagination depends on literary, scientific and cultural factors, beside their view for the relation between the elements at the nominal and apparent aspects, while they were impressed by the symbolic relation. The researcher has depended on an analytical approach with using other approaches, such as the cultural approach in order to interpret the background for portraying this phenomenon.Downloads
