This study deals with the term " not known" in Al Kashif of Imam Al-Zahabi, and I have presented his aim from this term by comparing the words of the critics of the narrator, and studying his narrations, and reached a clear rule after the critical study for each narrator, which numbered twenty-five narrators. It has been shown that he calls this term on the narrators suspected in their names because of the error of the student or distortion or similarity with another narrator's name or nickname. And they aren't famous for their narration, so they were accused of unknown. Some of them are unknown their selfsame, some are unknown their status, some were known their status but they are trustworthy or are criticized by the scholars. And the inferences firm the purpose. And I have studied each type in an independent matter and concluded the research with the most important results. Which of them: The accuracy of Imam AL-Zahabi in judging each narrator with what suits him, and that the invalidation and rectification words in it are not verbal syntaxes, but each word has its own meaning with it, Peace and bless be upon our Prophet Muhammad.Downloads
