Common Errors in Lesson Presentation Skills among Practicum students at the Faculty of Education - Sana'a University

The study aims to identifying the common mistakes in lesson presentation skills among the students of practicum in the Faculty of Education, Sana'a University, through a note card prepared for this purpose. The study answered the following questions: What are the common mistakes in lesson presentation skills among the students of practicum in the scientific and literary departments? What is the extent of practicing common mistakes in lesson presentation skills among students of practicum in the scientific and literary departments in each of the axes related to presenting the lesson, which are: the lesson introduction (introductory) axis, teaching aids axis, the teaching method axis, the teacher style axis, the classroom activities axis, and the axis of teacher behavior, and in the totality of these axes in general? The study sample has included 189 male and female students of practical education in the scientific and literary departments who participated in practicum education during the first semester of the year 2006-2007, who were subjected to practical observation by the supervisors.
The study has reached the following results: A list of common mistakes related to presenting the lesson was prepared for students of practicum education in both the scientific and literary departments, and it was placed as a note card in six axes containing (45) common mistakes, and the list was subject to arbitration and control. The students of practicum in all departments practice common mistakes in presenting the lesson at a level higher than 255, as determined by the study. The students of practicum in the literary departments practice common errors in presenting the lesson at a higher level than the students in the scientific departments, and that the male students of practicum practice common errors in presenting the lesson at a higher level than the female students of practicum.
