This research is an approach and an introduction to the phonological study of the Amharic language. The study tries to diagnose some of the phonetic features that characterize the dialect of Husawain Directorate, as one of the governorate's districts, which includes a skilled population with its dialectical and phonological characteristics. The study hypothesizes that the dialect of the said district in of homogenous with nearby districts' dialects under the shadow of the general dialect. The study focused on the first acoustic units; voiced and voiceless sounds.Downloads
