A Proposed Framework for Establishing a Research Business Incubator at Thamar University in Light of Research Performance Excellence Standards

This study proposes a model for establishing a research‑based business incubator at Thamar University, designed in alignment with international standards of research excellence. Using a descriptive methodology that combines analytical and developmental approaches, the research draws on comparative reviews of successful global university incubators and on institutional data, including five years of Thamar University’s research performance reports and an analysis of its academic and organizational structure. From these findings, the study outlines a comprehensive framework that defines the incubator’s philosophical foundations, objectives, organizational design, areas of specialization, funding and partnership strategies, governance and quality assurance mechanisms, and an implementation plan. The proposed incubator aims to transform research outputs into innovative projects that advance sustainable development in Yemeni society by fostering a supportive environment for creative ideas and equipping them with the services and facilities needed to become viable, marketable products, thereby enhancing Thamar University’s research excellence and reinforcing its role in community development.Downloads
