This study seeks to track the spread of random construction in Yemeni cities, and the resulting disruption of the environmental balance in order to preserve it within the urban space, and through an analytical study on the nature of the relationship between urban planning and urban expansion and to ensure their balance, and the study aims to contribute to detecting the size of the spread of random construction in Yemeni cities, and their spatial distribution by uncovering the factors of their origin and development, hoping to contribute to submitting proposals to the bodies based on urban planning to limit their spread in the future. The researcher depends upon the descriptive method, the inductive analytical method and on previous field studies as well as the scientific observation of the phenomenon and the use of space and aerial photos and maps available in computer programs.Downloads
