Consideration of consequences means looking or considering benefit or disadvantage that may emerge or occur as a result of the application of the divine injunction. If the action is found to be helpful in achieving the benefit, an injunction for its permissibility would be passed. And indeed a deep look at the book of Allah (i.e. Quran) and tradition or practice of his messenger would see many verses and traditions (i.e. Hadiths) supporting application of the principle “consideration of consequences putting consequences into consideration’’. And discovering the consequences and its consideration is a serious or deep work and that is why study of conditions that had to do with time, place and been watchful of the results and implications of applying an Islamic injunction. When there is contradiction of benefits and disadvantages in an incident, it is then compulsory to make comparison between contradictory benefits and disadvantages, and if performance of the action would lead to a greater benefit, then the action would be permissible and there would not be a way for its non-permissibility, and if it would result to a disadvantage equivalent to that benefit or a disadvantage greater than the benefit then its injunction would be non-permissibility.Downloads
