Attitudes of Information Technology Students at the College of Education, Taiz University, toward a Digital Educational Program, and Their Relationship to Academic Achievement, Digital Design Skills, and Creative Thinking

Abstract

This study examined the attitudes of Information Technology students in the Faculty of Education at Taiz University toward a digital educational program and investigated the relationships among academic achievement, digital design skills, creative thinking, and attitudes toward the program. Using a descriptive-correlational approach alongside a one-group pretest-posttest design, the study employed several instruments, including an academic achievement test, a digital design skills observation checklist, a creative thinking test, and an attitude scale. These tools were used to measure levels of improvement, explore interrelationships among the variables, and assess students’ perceptions of the program. The findings revealed highly positive attitudes toward the digital educational program, with a mean score of 4.08, significantly higher than the hypothesized mean at the 0.05 significance level. However, no statistically significant relationships were found among academic achievement, digital design skills, creative thinking, and attitudes toward the program, either in the posttest results or in the measured levels of improvement.
