Abstract

This study aimed at measuring the impact of administrative empowerment on human capital development at the Yemeni pharmaceutical manufacturing industries. It also aimed at identifying the level of practicing administrative empowerment and the level of human capital development in the industries understudy. The study followed an analytical descriptive method; and a questionnaire was developed for collecting primary data from the study population of (1116) individuals; and a sample of (280) was chosen. Data were processed and analyzed through (SPSS). The results of the study revealed that Yemeni pharmaceutical manufacturing industries have considerable interest towards the administrative empowerment practices and the development of human capital. It was also found that there is an impact of administrative empowerment on the human capital development. The dimension of motivation had the highest impact on the human capital, whereas the dimension of influence had the lowest impact. The study recommended the following promoting the administrative empowerment practice, more interest in human capital development, a review in the motivation systems, and providing opportunities for workers to gain the new knowledge that is compatible with their jobs requirements.
