This research attempts a critical analysis of the manuscript entitled ʾīʿl ām Al-Qāṣī wa Al-Dānī bi-mashruʿiyat Taqbīl Al-Rukn Al-Yamānī [Lit. Informing the far and near of the legality of kissing The Yemeni Corner (Al-Rukn Al-Yamani)] by Muhammad Abd Al-Azim Bin Farroukh Bin Abd Al-Muhsin Al-Hindi Al-Makki Al-Hanafi, a jurist died in 1061 AH. The significance of this research stems from the value of the manuscript which discusses an issue that has created a heated discussion among people. That is, the legality of kissing the Yemeni Corner (Al-Rukn Al-Yamaani) and the related rules on Hajj and Umrah. The manuscript has aptly clarified confusion in this regard. Furthermore, the researcher has also verified this valuable manuscript, which represents a great addition to the Fiqh Library. This research has been divided into two parts. The first part deals with the verification of the manuscript and the second part gives a critical analysis of it. The researcher has strictly followed the methodological steps used in the verification of classical manuscripts. One of the most prominent results of the research is that the handwritten versions have all agreed on the title of the manuscript, which confirms that Muhammad Abd Al-Azim is the author. The manuscript is in the form of a letter and the author has mostly based his arguments on citations from the books adopted in the Hanafi doctrine.Downloads
