Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of a vocational guidance program grounded in Holland and Soper’s theories in enhancing self-efficacy and career decision-making skills among female first-year secondary students in Amanat Al-Asimah. Using an experimental design with 60 participants divided equally into experimental and control groups, the program was implemented alongside pre-, post-, and follow-up measurements, employing researcher-developed tools including a self-efficacy scale and a career decision-making skill scale. Results revealed statistically significant improvements at the 0.05 level in the experimental group compared to the control group, with gains in both self-efficacy and decision-making skills confirmed by post-test outcomes. Moreover, the absence of significant differences between post- and follow-up measurements indicated the program’s sustained impact, while effect size analysis showed a strong influence on self-efficacy and a moderate effect on career decision-making, affirming the program’s overall effectiveness.
