Abstract

This research aims at studying Judge Ismail bin Ali Al-Akwa as a historian depending on personal oral interviews with him, and phone calls. The researcher also reads and studies the books of Ahmad Al-Jasser (Yemen among contemporary historians), and the book of Ibrahim Bajis Abd Al-Majeed Al-Maqdishi (Judge Ismail bin Ali Al-Akwa, The Sign of Yemen and its Historian) as other references. A translation from the historian, his method of authorship, and the definition of his books are highlighted. The research concluded that the aim of Al-Akwa’s authoring this amount of books was to show the cultural, civilizational and scientific quantity of Yemen between the countries.
