The Impacts of Electoral System on Parties in Yemen

This research studies the electoral system and its effect on parties in Yemeni society as a prerequisite for the democratic system. The research was divided into two domains: the first entitled Electoral Systems and their Impact on Political Parties, while the second dealt with the Yemeni electoral system and its impact on Yemeni parties. The level of political and cultural awareness, the structure of parties and their effectiveness are factors on which the success of choosing the electoral system depends. Each electoral system has its disadvantages and advantages. We find most countries assess their electoral system from time to time, and work to change or amend it. According to their political and social conditions, which push them to change their priorities. Change is a constant law in life.Downloads
