Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the differences in personality traits among the outstanding and uneducated students in the first grade of secondary education in Sana'a. To achieve this, the researcher chose a sample of (240) individuals, 120 of which were students versus 120 students. They were selected in a simple random way from several schools. Two tools were used: the academic achievement of the cumulative grade of the students' grades, and the personal traits measure by researcher Muhammad Ali Mohsen Sharab (2007). The scale consists of 60 sections divided into ten dimensions. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the outstanding and the non-outstanding in independence and flexibility, while there were statistically significant differences between the outstanding and the non-outstanding in the rest of the features. In terms of the arithmetic averages, we find that these differences are in favor of the outstanding, as it was found that there are no statistically significant differences between the outstanding and the superior in all the attributes..
