The research aims to study the book titled Itḥāf Al-Thiqāt bi-Sharḥ Al-Muwafaqat by the Meccan scholar Ibn Allan, may God have mercy on him, and to interpret its text the way the author desires. The study also tackles the situtions in which the Qur’an and Sunnah confirm the opinions of the companions of the Prophet. The author has organized such situtions in a book entitled: Al-Minah fī Bayān bʿḍ Muwafaqat Ahlu Al-kitāb wa Al-sunah and he complemented his explanation for them in the book under invistigation. This research consists of an introduction, two sections, a conclusion and indexes. The introduction deals with the importance of the topic, the rationale and the objectives of the research. The analysis has been divided into two sections: the first section is devoted to the analysis of the book and it consists of three chapters. The first chapter introduces the biography of the author Ibn Allan; the second chapter tackles the subject matter of the book and the third chapter provides a detailed analysis of the book. The second section verifies the text of the book. One of the key findings of the study is the distinction between Occasions or circumstances of revelation (Asbāb Al-Nuzūl, أسباب النزول) and Al-Mwafaqat "Reconciliation". The study also emphasizes the great status of the Companions, May God bless them, and identifies more places of reconciliations in the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah.Downloads
