This study explores the extent to which social workers in civil society organizations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to foster social innovation, defined here as the ability to generate unconventional ideas that lead to novel social services and initiatives aimed at enhancing beneficiary support and organizational systems. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the research surveyed a purposive sample of 373 social workers and found that participants demonstrated a high level of preparedness for developing social innovation. However, the study also identified several barriers to its implementation, with external obstacles ranking highest (mean: 3.48), followed by organizational (3.23), cultural (3.22), and professional challenges (2.77).
