The relationship between balanced scorecard and non-profit organizations performance in Kuwait: An analytical study at the Regional Center for Educational Software Development

This study aimed to explore the relationship between the balanced scorecard and non-profit organizations performance in Kuwait, with particular focus on the Regional Center for Educational Software Development. A correlational descriptive methodology was employed. The study sample consisted of 94 employees from the Regional Center for Educational Software Development in Kuwait, selected randomly and purposefully. Two questionnaires were developed: one for the balanced scorecard and another for non-profit organizations performance measurement, based on dimensions such as (capabilities, cultural skills, and educational skills) for the balanced scorecard, and (creating a learning and civic organization, customer satisfaction, and growth) for non-profit organizations performance. The results revealed a statistically significant positive correlation at a significance level of (α ≤ 0.05) between the average scores of non-profit organizations on the overall balanced scorecard and its dimensions, and the overall performance of non-profit organizations and its dimensions. Given such findings, the study recommended conducting further studies on balanced scorecard, in areas such as empowering educational non-profit organizations in Kuwaiti society, and integrating the balanced scorecard into the activities of these organizations within educational institutions in Kuwait.
