Evaluating the Academic tasks of faculty members at Taiz University in the light of modern Global Trends

The study aims to identify some recent global trends in the field of academic tasks for faculty members in universities. It also identifies the reality of the practice of faculty members at Taiz University for the three academic tasks (teaching - scientific research - university and community service). It also tackles the obstacles that prevent them from practicing these tasks, in addition to presenting some recommendations and proposals that contribute to the development of the academic tasks of members of the editorial board at Taiz University. The study sample has consisted of (128) faculty members who were chosen randomly from all university teachers. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was prepared consisting of three areas (teaching, scientific research, university and community service), in addition to the obstacles that prevent faculty members from practicing academic tasks. It has been found that the faculty members at Taiz University practice the three academic tasks with a moderate degree closer to the weak, and their practice of the three tasks came in a descending order of teaching - scientific research - university and community service, and the faculty members at Taiz University face many obstacles that limit their effectiveness in the exercise of the three academic tasks.
