The effectiveness of a behavioral counseling program based on some educational activities in developing environmental awareness among kindergarten children in the capital Sana'a

The aim of this study is to identify the effectiveness of a behavioral-counseling program built on various educational activities to develop the environmental awareness among kindergarten children in Sana'a city. The study sample consisted of (40) children male and females, who are enrolled in the governmental kindergartens in the academic year of (2019-2018), the kids were randomly selected among the kindergartens in Al-Wahda district; their ages were between (5-6) years old. The study sample was divided into two groups, the Experimental group of (20) kids (11 male) and (9 females) and the control group which consist of (20) Childs. The followed procedures are: Design a behavioral counseling program built on various educational activities to develop the environmental awareness among kindergarten children, Draw a person test of (Goodenough–Harris) (Rationing by Azza Khalil 1993), Build an Illustrated Environmental Awareness test for kindergarten children. The Study revealed the following the two researchers: There are statistically significant variances of (0.05) in the post-test between the scores of the treatment group and the control group for the treatment group in the illustrated test of environmental awareness. There are statistically significant variances of (0.05) between the average scores of the treatment group and the control group in environmental awareness illustrated test in both pre-test and post-test for the post-test. There are no statistically significant variances of (0.05) average between the scores of males and females of the treatment group post-test in the environmental awareness illustrated test.
