The most Important Academic Problems Encounter the Students of Islamic Studies in the Faculty of Education, Sana’a University and Faculty of Education, Thamar University: A comparative study

Many researches emphasize on the importance of qualifying teacher from all aspects and in the different disciplines that they teach. This importance increases if the teacher carries the heritage and values of the nation, as is the case with teachers of Islamic education who encounter many problems and difficulties, whether during their preparation at a university or during their work in the field. This study seeks to identify the most important academic problems encounter teachers of Islamic education during their preparation in the specialized departments within the faculties of education. It also seeks to provide a list of the most important problems in the field of curricula and courses encounter students of the Islamic studies departments in the faculties of education at Sana'a University, and Thamar University. It tries to present a list of the most important problems in the field of the university system and professional preparation. This was done by preparing a questionnaire that included (40) items distributed over the previous two axes, and a sample of the students of the two departments was selected, amounting to (200) male and female students. The researcher has adopted some appropriate statistical methods to carry out the current study. The study has showed a number of results, including: There is a focus on the aspect of memorization and remembering by most of the teachers. There is a poor specialized preparation for graduates of the said departments. There is also a lack of use of educational aids in teaching Islamic education. Some students have difficulties in understanding some university regulations.
