Abstract

The phenomenon of irregularity in Arabic morphology was known among the oldest and modernists, but few morphological studies combine this phenomenon in one research. The researcher has not find all the aspects of this phenomenon in one book except what was stated in the book of Dr. Hussein Al-Rifaiah (phenomenon of irregularities in Arabic morphology), which was the topic of his thesis which submitted to obtain a master's degree. In this study, six aspects were investigated. First, I have worked on the number of nouns. I have gone through them to collect singularity, plurality and/or duality. Second, type of the noun: femininity, masculinity. Third, the gerund: the rule in the terms of the wording of the noun of the standard verb. Fourth, derivatives: all derivatives except the characteristic imbued with the noun of the semi subject like. Fifth, I have discussed about the miniaturization in which I have collected the irregular of minimization. Finally, I have explored the kinship. In spite of the difficulty of the morphological lesson and its rules, I relied on the descriptive approach to fulfill this study.
