Abstract

This study attempts to make a systematic analysis of the issue of Abu Nawwas being influenced by the poetry of Abu Al Hindi Al-Riahi based on the difference between the limited partial influence and broad influence that affects the overall structure. The research begins by examining some quotations from some ancient and modern books, and presenting the broader meanings contained in Abu Al Hindi Al-Riahi's poetry in an attempt to balance them with the broader aspects of Abu Nawwas' poetry. It also turns to intertextuality and partial images, trying to discern the influence relationships, and then presenting the aspects, in which Abu Nawwas excelled and the extent to which he was influenced by Abu Al Hindi.
