Systematic Review, Artificial Intelligence Ethics, Higher Education, Scientific ResearchAbstract
This research examines contemporary studies on the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education, aiming to clarify the challenges and propose ways to ensure responsible use of these technologies. With the rapid integration of AI applications into teaching and learning, ethical concerns have emerged despite the field’s novelty and fast development. Using a systematic review of prior research, the study analyzed 21 works selected from 113 found in Scopus and Dar Al-Manzoma between 2023 and 2025. The findings highlight critical issues such as academic integrity, privacy, fairness, and transparency, underscoring the need for institutions to adopt clear ethical frameworks. In addition to mapping these challenges, the study provides recommendations to guide higher education toward the effective and ethically sound application of AI.
