This study examined obstacles to establishing a summer camp for children with autism spectrum disorder in the Asir region from parents' perspective and gathered their suggestions for designing effective programs. Using a qualitative, interpretive approach and semi structured interviews with 20 parents, the study identified key challenges, including inadequate prepared environments, financial constraints, and a shortage of specialized staff. Parents emphasized the need for diverse activities tailored to individual differences, safe and organized settings, multidisciplinary teams, and active family involvement in planning, implementation, and evaluation. The study concluded that creating a specialized summer camp requires an integrated vision that combines educational planning, environmental readiness, vocational rehabilitation, and institutional support to ensure sustainable programs that meet the needs of children and their families.Downloads
