The Effect of using the Inquiry Method in Developing Achievement and the Survival of the effect of learning in Social Studies among the ninth grade students in Dhamar.

The research aimed at identifying the effect of using the survey method on the achievement of the ninth grade students in the social subject and the survival of the effect of learning. The researcher used the experimental method to suit the nature of the research and its objectives. The research population consisted of all ninth grade students in Dhamar, and the sample (60 students) was chosen randomly from the Al-Rowad School (B-C), (30) students in the experimental group and (30) students in the control group. The researcher prepared the research materials and tools (teacher's guide, activity booklet, Sociology achievement Test "geography". After the experiment was completed, the data were dipped, coded and analyzed by (SPSS). The results of the research showed the following: There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the average achievement of the students of the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test applications and in favor of the post-test application, and with a large size of effect. There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the average achievement of the experimental group and the control group in the post-test of the achievement test and in favor of the experimental group, and with a large size of effect. There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the average achievement of the students of the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test applications" the survival of the impact of social learning".
