الملخص

This research seeks to implement a fattening experiment on 4 treatments of broiler chickens of the hybrid breed, aged 7-35 days. Each treatment consists of 3 replicates, and each replicate includes 10 birds, with a total of 120 birds in the experimental barn of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at Thamar University. It also tries to explore the use of different levels of fishmeal on the characteristics of growth and carcass performance in broiler chickens. The experiment was divided into the first treatment in which soybean meal was used without fishmeal. In the second treatment, 2% of fishmeal was used, in the third, 4% of fishmeal was used, in the fourth treatment, 6% of fishmeal was used, in addition to soybean meal in the diets of the baddies (7-12 days) and the growing ones (21-35 days). ). The results of this experiment have showed that there were no significant differences of fishmeal on the growth characteristics in the first period (7-21 days) and the second (21-35 days), among birds of all experimental treatments. In this experiment, the results have showed during the total duration of the experiment (7-35 days) that the use of fishmeal at a rate of 4% and 6% in the diet of the birds of the third and fourth treatments, respectively, led to a significant increase in the final live weight, the total weight gain, and the amount of feed consumed (g / fowl), compared to the birds of the second treatment that were fed on a diet containing 2% of fishmeal, also the birds of the third and fourth treatment showed significantly higher carcass weight compared to the birds of the second treatment.
