Measuring the Employment Satisfaction level among Teachers of Secondary Schools in Dhamar city, Yemen

This research was conducted in 2009 to measure the employment satisfaction level among teachers of secondary schools in Dhamar city and the nature of differences among them. The researchers have designed a scale to be applied on 280 teachers. The results have shown that satisfaction level is down in general as it marks 16.8 %. However, on the level of group work it was 79.3%, self-fulfillment was 74.6% , work environment was 24.3%, financial incentives 30.8%, average on extents of management and supervision 54.6% and work hours and rest 54.3%. There were statistical differences in the aspects of satisfaction of self-fulfillment, financial incentives in favor of males. Differences were not remarkable in aspects of management and supervision, group work, promotion chance, natural environment.
