The problem of the study was formulated through the following question: What are the reasons for failure in calculus (1) from the point of view of students in the College of Education in Al-Mahweet? Two questions branched out from it: the first indicates the main reasons, and the second indicates the subsidiary reasons for failure. The sample of the study consisted of (90) male and female students who failed in calculus (1) for the academic year 2007-2008. The final items of the questionnaire were (48). In analyzing the results, the researcher has used the percentage, the weighted mean, the hypothetical mean, the percentile weight, and Cronbach's alpha equation to calculate the stability coefficient. The research has concluded that there are real main reasons behind the failure in calculus (1).
