On the Magic of Infatuation: Nature as an Inspiration for Imagery in Andalusian Poetry

This research aims to explore how the natural environment of Andalusia influenced the creation of poetic imagery in Andalusian poetry. It addresses the question: How did nature shape the imagination of Andalusian poets, becoming a source of their imagery and an integral part of their poetic vision? The researcher presents the findings in three distinct forms: astonishment, integration, and condensation, preceded by an introduction and a preface titled "On the Magic of Infatuation." Utilizing a stylistic approach, the research reveals the aesthetics of these forms, highlighting the unique stylistic qualities of Andalusian poets. A key finding of this study is that the Andalusian landscape was a driving force in the creation of diverse artistic images, forming an essential component of the poets' imaginative framework.
