Abstract:
This study examines how phonological and morphological structures shape the meaning of key lexical items in the Quranic discourse that dispraises the Jews and portrays their behavior. Using an integrated linguistic and stylistic approach, it analyses selected words at the levels of sound, form, and meaning, while attending closely to Quranic context and thematic unity. The research is organized into an introduction, a prelude, and three applied sections that explore lexemes of distortion and betrayal, negative traits and behaviors, psychological and doctrinal attributes, and terms of punishment. The analysis reveals that the Quranic discourse employs a finely tuned linguistic pattern in which sound structure and morphological patterning work together to generate strong warning, reproachful, and evaluative meanings closely tied to the Jews’ stances and actions. The study concludes that lexical choice in these verses is highly deliberate and functionally oriented, serving the admonitory and corrective aims of the discourse and highlighting the linguistic inimitability of the Quran in constructing a coherent and impactful image of the Jews.
