The Correlation between the Educational Supervisor's Evaluation and the Academic Supervisor for Student Teachers in the Practical Education Course Faculty of Science and Arts in Bashoura Najran University

The study aims to identify the correlation between the evaluation of the educational supervisor and the academic supervisor of the student teachers in the Faculty of Science and Arts in Shrorh Najran University, Saudi Arabia. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher follows the analytical descriptive method using several tools for the study: the educational and the academic supervisors' evaluation cards, and the student teachers's grade lists. The study sample consists of (112) students who were chosen deliberately from the students of practicum practicing teaching in Sharorh government schools in 2017-2018. After analyzing the data of the study statistically by using the (SPSS), the main findings of the study are: There is a statistically significant correlation at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of the educational supervisor and the academic supervisor for the student teachers in the practicum course. The study also shows that there are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the evaluation of the educational supervisor and the academic supervisor of the student teachers in the practicum course for the benefit of the students supervised by the educational supervisor , there are statistically significant differences at level of (0.05) between the average grades of students' evaluation grades supervised by the educational supervisor for the benefit of the specialization of Islamic studies and English language. The most important recommendation of the study is to take advantage of the results of the current study in the development of methods of assessment and evaluation of student teachers.Downloads
