Achievement Motivation and Its Relationship to Burnout and Professional self-Actualization among working women in Riyadh

This study examined achievement motivation, burnout, and professional self-actualization among working women in Riyadh, focusing on the relationships between these variables. To accomplish this, the researcher employed three instruments: the Achievement Motivation Scale, the Maslach Burnout Scale, and the Professional Self-Actualization Scale by Al-Sharifain (2015), all of which demonstrated acceptable validity and reliability. The sample included 350 participants, and statistical analyses revealed that working women in Riyadh generally exhibited high levels of achievement motivation and self-actualization, alongside moderate levels of burnout. Findings further indicated a significant negative correlation between achievement motivation and burnout, and a positive correlation between achievement motivation and self-actualization. The study concluded by emphasizing the importance of fostering achievement motivation among working women through greater attention to their psychological and mental well-being.
