This study analyzes the economic development dynamics of the Asir region within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on sectoral indicators and structural transformation. Using a descriptive-analytical approach supported by both quantitative and qualitative methods, it evaluates key sectors such as tourism, entertainment, education, health, real estate, and air transport, linking them to spatial and regional development policies. Findings highlight tourism as a major driver, with over 7.8 million overnight visitors, spending exceeding 11.4 billion riyals, and more than 70.6 million nights, underscoring its role in boosting local income and service activities. Strong education and health infrastructure- over 465,000 students, 41 hospitals, and 274 healthcare centers- supports productivity and stability. Air transport expanded significantly after the development of Abha International Airport, serving 3.9 million passengers in 2023, enhancing connectivity and investment. Real estate indicators reveal dominance of agricultural transactions alongside gradual growth in residential and commercial activity, signaling a reshaping of land use and economic functions.Downloads
