The study aimed to measure the efficiency of teaching biology by using survey activities in the attainment of second year secondary school female students. Moreover, the study population consisted of (300) second year secondary school female students of Bishah Province out of which a random sample of (60) second year secondary school female students from the third secondary school in Bishah city was extracted. This sample was divided into two groups each containing number of (30) female students. One of the groups represents the experimental group while the other represents the control group. To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher designed an achievement test for “the two systems of digestion and Endocrine” unit that is taken from second year secondary school biology curriculum in addition to testing problem solving skills in the same unit. The study concluded the following results: There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) among the averages of the post-tests of attainment scores in the two groups (experimental and control) in favor of the female students in the experimental group. There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average of the female students’ scores in the total score of the post application of the problem solving skills test and its secondary dimensions (represented in determining the problem, choosing the hypotheses, testing the hypotheses, interpretation, and generalization) in the two groups (experimental and control), in favor of the female students of the experimental group.
