Abstract

This research aims to identify the importance of the requirements for employing artificial intelligence technologies in Yemeni universities from the perspective of academic leaders, and to determine whether there are statistically significant differences in the responses of the sample attributed to the variables (gender, experience, and university). The research used the descriptive method with the help of a questionnaire that was distributed to a sample of academic leaders (64) from Sana'a University, Ibb University, Hajjah University, and Sa'adah University. The results showed the importance of the requirements of artificial intelligence with its seven axes (security, material, human, technical, financial, legislative, and administrative).Security requirements ranked first (average 4.53), material requirements ranked second (average 4.40), while administrative requirements ranked last (average 4.30).The results showed statistically significant differences (0.05) attributed to the gender variable in the axis of security requirements in favor of females, and statistically significant differences (0.05) attributed to the university variable on the axis of legislative requirements and the axis of administrative requirements in favor of the academic leaders at Sana'a University. Finally, there were statistically significant differences (0.05) attributed to the experience variable on the axis of financial requirements in favor of those with five years of experience or less. The results did not show any differences on the remaining axes.
