Publication Fee
TUJNAS is committed to disseminating research and scholarly publications as widely as possible. It supports the principle that 'the results of research that have been publicly funded should be freely accessible in the public domain’ and encourages researchers to make their research available through Open Access (OA).
Open-access publishing is not without costs. To provide open access, TUJNAS journal partly defrays the expenses of journal production, and online hosting and archiving from authors and their research sponsors by charging a publication fee for each article they publish. The publication fees for this journal are:
- Thamar University researchers (including staff and students) are YR 20,000.
- Yemeni researchers (from Yemeni universities, institutes, centers, organizations, and foundations) are YR 30,000.
- Overseas researchers are USD 200.
The following special discounts are offered to authors and editorial board members:
- Authors from developing countries are entitled to 20% discount of their article publication fee.
- All Editors and Editorial Board Members of TUJNAS are entitled to publish their articles free of charge.
- Waiver and additional discount requests are decided based on the author’s country of origin and the quality of the submitted article. Editors and reviewers have no access to whether authors can pay; decisions to publish are only based on meeting the editorial criteria.
- TUJNAS does not charge submission charges.
The publication fee includes the professional copy-editing charges. Once the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author will receive an electronic invoice via email.
Waiver
Authors grant TUJNAS (licensor) the right to retain all revenue from commercial sales of the author's published article in a TUJNAS journal.
Processing Fees
TUJNAS offers affordable article nominal fees, ranking amongst the lowest as compared to those of other open-access journal publishers. An article-processing fee payable by the author/ author's institution applies to each accepted article, to cover the costs incurred by Open Access publication. Members of TUJNAS are entitled to discounted article processing fees
Refund Policy
Please remember that requests for waivers or discounts should be made during the initial submission process, not after an article has been accepted. This process does not involve editors, and the ability to pay does not influence editorial decisions. Payment is not required unless and until the author's article is accepted. Articles that have been accepted will not be published until payment has been received. TUJNAS does not refund the Publication Fee once it has been paid.
Our refund policy could be as follows:
- The journal no longer refunds the submission fee for accepted manuscripts.
- There are no refunds if the author withdraws his or her article from consideration or declines to revise and resubmit. There are no refunds once the article is published.
The submission fees are used to support journal-related activities and to provide tokens of appreciation to those reviewers who deliver quality review reports within a given time limit.
