Statistical Skills of Postgraduate Students in Yemeni Universities and their Relationship to some Variables

The research aimed to identify the statistical skills of graduate postgraduate students in Yemeni universities and their relationship to some variables. The researcher used the descriptive approach and the research sample included (142) male and female from postgraduate students in the faculties of Education at the universities of (Taiz، Aden، Ibb، and Thamar). A questionnaire was used as a research tool which consists of (30) statements. After carrying out an appropriate statistical analysis of data, the search resulted in a set of results، including the following: The arithmetic mean of statistical skills of the research sample reached (68.59), which reflects a low level compared to the acceptable average in graduate studies programs at (70%). There are statistically significant differences in the statistical skills of postgraduate students according to the variable of the postgraduate program (Masters - Doctorate) in favor of the doctoral program. There are no differences in the statistical skills of postgraduate students in the faculties of Education according to the variable of specialization (curricula and methods of teaching, educational administration, psychology).Downloads
