Abstract

The study aimed to identify the most common six big factors of personality, identify the level of gratitude, and check the predictive ability of the six big factors of personality with gratitude, and to identify the differences in the six big factors of personality and gratitude according to the variable of gender. The study sample consisted of (206) male and female students from Al-Aqsa University. The scale of the six big factors of personality prepared by Ashtoni & Lee (2009), the translation Alrajhieh, et al,(2020) and the gratitude scale developed by Azab et al ,(2019) were used. The study results showed that the level of gratitude and the six factors of personality scored a high degree, except the dimension of acceptance which scored a medium degree, and the emotional dimension scored a low degree. The results showed a predictive ability of the six big factors of personality with gratitude, except the emotional dimension. There were no differences in the six big factors of personality according to the gender variable, except the acceptance dimension, in favor of males, and there were differences in gratitude according to the variable of gender in favor of females.
