Abstract

The research explored mothers’ perspectives in Mecca on their children’s psychological quality of life, social interaction, and verbal expression, and examined differences by age, academic level, school type, and language. Using a descriptive-differential approach, the researchers collected data from 294 mothers through three instruments: a translated version of the modified Rife Scale for Children’s Psychological Quality of Life (PWB c, 2018), the Child Social Interaction Scale, and the Child Verbal Expression Scale. Findings showed that 52.7% of children had a high level of psychological quality of life, 60.2% demonstrated high social interaction, and 64.3% displayed an average level of verbal expression. Significant differences emerged in social interaction and verbal expression according to age and educational level, while psychological quality of life showed no such variation. The study recommended raising mothers’ awareness of effective communication with children and developing family educational programs to enhance their linguistic and social development.
